About Quantus Advisory

An independent financial advisory firm, built for the most demanding strategic decisions.

Our history

Who we are

Quantus Advisory is a French simplified joint-stock company with variable capital, with share capital of €1,000,000, registered with the Ordre des Experts-Comptables for the Paris Île-de-France region. It was founded by Sylvain Quagliaroli on 8 January 2016.

Our work centres on business valuation, financial expertise and financial advice to investors, private equity funds and family offices. Quantus Advisory is culturally immersed in the private equity world, in all its dimensions.

The team comprises four experienced partners, chartered accountants or graduates of leading institutions. Each brings significant experience in valuation, financial expertise and transaction services, gained at Grant Thornton, KPMG and other international firms, and each is equally at home in French and international accounting and regulatory frameworks (IFRS, US GAAP).

Our partners regularly teach and train, notably for France Invest and for asset management companies, and maintain a technology watch suited to the assignments they deliver — particularly in artificial intelligence.

The quality of our opinions is reinforced by systematic risk management and rigorous quality control, drawing where appropriate on highly regarded external partners. Our partners observe the code of professional conduct and the insurance obligations of the Ordre des Experts-Comptables. Sylvain Quagliaroli is a member of the SFEV and served two terms on the IPEV Board.

Sylvain Quagliaroli

Partner & President

A chartered accountant and statutory auditor, Sylvain Quagliaroli spent the greater part of his career at Grant Thornton, where he was a partner for over thirty years. There he built the Transaction Services practice, then founded and led the Forensic & Investigation service line, working on financial expertise, dispute and international arbitration assignments.

A specialist in business valuation, complex financial instruments and private equity, he also developed a dedicated management package practice and has advised investment funds and asset management companies for many years.

Sylvain has taken part in several professional working groups, notably with the French accounting standards authority (ANC) and the French institute of statutory auditors (CNCC). He served two terms on the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation Board (IPEV Board), the international reference body for private equity valuation good practice.

He founded Quantus Advisory in 2016 and has served as its President ever since.

Agnès Quagliaroli-Sinet

Partner & General Secretary

Holder of the French chartered accountancy qualification (DEC), Agnès Quagliaroli brings more than twenty years of experience in accountancy and audit, gained notably at Grant Thornton in an international environment.

Over the course of her career she has developed a thorough command of corporate accounting, financial and internal control matters.

Agnès has been with Quantus Advisory since its creation in 2016, and initially served as its President. As General Secretary she now oversees the firm’s administrative and financial management, its internal organisation and its risk management, ensuring that risks are controlled, that procedures are followed and that the firm runs smoothly day to day.

Sophie Dervain

Partner & Director

A graduate of KEDGE Business School (Euromed), Sophie brings over 20 years of experience in financial advisory and valuation. She spent close to 17 years in the Transaction Services teams at Grant Thornton and then KPMG, where she advised investment funds and companies on nearly 150 acquisitions and disposals.

In parallel she developed specific expertise in the valuation of management packages and complex financial instruments, as well as in purchase price allocation (PPA) and valuation in a private equity context.

Sophie joined Quantus Advisory in 2023 as Partner & Director. She now advises principally investment funds, asset management companies and law firms on their valuation matters: company and management package valuation, determination of market interest rates, PPA, private equity portfolio valuation, employee share schemes and transaction services.

Alice Quagliaroli

Partner & Director

Holder of the French chartered accountancy qualification (DEC), Alice Quagliaroli specialises in accounting and tax support for investment funds and asset management companies.

Before joining Quantus Advisory in 2023, she built her expertise at Sefico Nexia, a member firm of an international network, where she worked on accountancy assignments for a diverse client base.

At Quantus, Alice leads the Quantus for Funds® service line, dedicated to private equity and asset management participants. She supports funds in maintaining and supervising their accounts, preparing their annual financial statements and meeting their regulatory and tax obligations.

She also brings particular expertise in the international taxation of funds, notably in relation to reporting obligations to the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

What guides us

Our values

At Quantus Advisory, our values shape the way we analyse, advise and work alongside our clients. They rest on one conviction: financial expertise is only genuinely useful if it is independent, rigorous, intelligible and fully suited to what is at stake in each assignment.

We reach objective conclusions, grounded in our analysis of the facts, the financial data and the applicable frameworks. Our independence guarantees our clients an impartial, well-supported opinion that stands up to challenge, including in the most sensitive or complex situations.

Technical rigour

We pay close attention to the reliability of the data, the relevance of the methods chosen and the soundness of our reasoning. Every assignment is the subject of thorough, documented analysis in line with the applicable professional standards. The quality of the opinions we deliver is reinforced by systematic and rigorous quality control.

Commitment

We involve ourselves personally alongside our clients, with availability, responsiveness and a sense of responsibility. Our human scale means direct dealings with experienced professionals and strong continuity throughout the assignment.
